MULTIPHASE SPH SIMULATION FOR INCHAMBER IMPACT PRESSURE ON VERTICAL BREAKWATER WITH WAVE ABSOPTION CHAMBER

A numerical model of a vertical breakwater integrated with wave absorption chamber has been tested against regular in virtual flume. The open source Smoothed-Particles Hydrodynamics, or SPH, (Lagrangian type) software called DualPSHysics was deployed for the simulation. Both multiphase (air-water) and single-phase (water only) fluid were considered compared an experimental result. Single-phase capture water column elevation within ratio 0.92 0.70, respectively, when to experiments. However, is not able fully closed effect. It found that inside chamber, SPH captures maximum (compressed) well but overestimates air compression by factor 1.5.
